NARCfest 2026 Information

The Nixa Amateur Radio Club’s annual Hamfest plays a vital role in raising the funds needed to support the Southwest Missouri Linked Repeater System (SMLRS), a network the Nixa ARC proudly helped establish as a founding partner.

Thanks to the incredible support from Hamfest attendees and generous donors in 2025, we were able complete a couple of projects:

  • The 145.270 MHz- PL 162.2 Hz repeater antenna replacement in Nixa was replaced – this repeater serves to allow access to the Eastern SMLRS repeaters from Springfield when the system is split in half East & West
  • The 442.150+ PL 162.2 Hz Crane repeater’s antenna system was repaired – the heliax had water in it and had to be replaced. The Crane repeater is the original, and South, hub of the SMLRS and a new Raspberry Pi-4 All Star node #565502 was built and installed.
  • An All Star node, #565505, was installed at the Goodhope RF Link site to allow us to link the Eastern SMLRS repeaters (Rolla, Taum Sauk, Willow Springs and Bendavis) to the N0NWS SkyWarn network during severe weather training nets and during severe weather. It also allows us to link to the 145.270 repeater when the SMLRS is split in half via its All Star node #565504

These significant upgrades were made possible solely through the funds raised at Hamfest and the continued generosity of our supporters. Your participation and contributions truly make a difference in advancing amateur radio across Southwest Missouri!

We’re inviting you to join us on Saturday, November 14, 2026 at the Victory Baptist Church located at 252 N Nicholas Rd in Nixa, MO . Doors open at 8:00 a.m. with the main entry on the South side of the Church.
